Awe!

My new puppy! He’s a Newfoundland! He’s 16 weeks old and will be arriving here tomorrow…his Daddy is 4 feet tall and weighs 170 lbs…a brute as most of these dogs are! I fell in LOVE with them up in Canada- they’re everywhere! Gorgeous, HUGE, BIG, drooling bundles of JOY. Mind you, I must now stay employed to feed the mutts and not myself. 2 Goldendoodles, a St Bernard and now this??

Kielbasa Stew

One thing I love about my crock pot (s) is how I can just throw together a few things and have a complete meal ready to munch down- hours later.

I literally threw this together a few minutes ago…kielbasa, peppers, potatoes…

…tomatoes and some spices. It’ll be ready by 4pm.

I’ll post a picture of the cooked meal, later.

UPDATED 7pm:

Yums…tis good, and hearty, and very filling!

NY Fashion Show Specials

Since I have nothing better to do right at this moment, I clicked on some link taking me to pictures of a recent NY Fashion show.

I am so proud to be a blue jeans and t shirt gal.

It seems that wearing a pocketbook as a hat is the IN thing….

Or this atrocity.

I guess dyeing your hair to match your fur coat is cool.
Photobucket

Who in fuck would wear this puffed out, ugly…I don’t even know what to call it??? :!:
Photobucket

Teh blues. Good grief. Gimme my jeans anyday. :???: And what’s up with the hair??
Photobucket

OOPS! A little titty. A very LITTLE….these models are anorexic.

I once dressed like this…when I was addicted to heroin.

Lia Sophia Jewelery Sucks!

A note: The economy is getting better.

A friend of mine recently held a jewelery party- she’s selling that Lia Sophia CRAP. I’d heard all sorts of wonderful things about this costume jewelery so I decided to be a “good friend” and buy….I knew this stuff wasn’t made with *real* precious metals and gems and stones. What I didn’t know was just how cheap and cheesy it all really is.

Photobucket

One friend bought a turquoise stretch bracelet; the stones were so dry they crumbled apart when she put it on!

As I watched my friends drop and drool at the party, I thought: Gee, this stuff looks and feels just like the crap sold at the Mall where they pierce ears.

Photobucket

This LS jewelery isn’t a quality product. It’s all made in China. The so called “stones” and crystals are super-glued onto cheap metal that I daresay, has a high lead content (I can *smell* lead and it’s THERE in a big way).

The Lia Sophia POS:

Vs. A hand made-for-me REAL agate pendant:

Lia Sophia’s idea of a classy cuff? BS! SMELL THE LEAD. And it’s so BIG it could be worn right up under my elbow! It fell off my wrist. It comes in one size only…and it can’t be closed up to make it smaller. CHEAP.
Photobucket

This cuff was made as I watched- customized in fit, design, weight and style. It’s heavy- and will last my lifetime plus a few.
Photobucket

Why is Lia Sophia so popular? It’s like a CULT up here…. Don’t women know they can get SO much better, often for less but…even when for more it’s worth it? Up my way there must be 5 LS parties a week. Gah. Waste of money!

I bought a few pieces and have returned it all…thanks— but I’ll stick with my sidewalk vendors up in Maine, who tend to sell hand made, one-of-a-kind pieces that are quality, at much less cost. I have lots of jewelery- tons of it, mostly silver. I own many pieces of gold as well. Live and learn: Stay away from costume jewelery, even when all your friends are buying it up like it’s the best thing to come along in decades. If you’re going to waste spend money, do so on quality products.
