So I’m still in the area…never went on the hike.

Why?

Two things.

1) At work I got into a situation with a patient, a violent young man with known behavior issues. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got my shoulder bent backwards. Far back…enough where it snapped out of joint and needs to be immobilized for a couple weeks. There is a small fracture too.

2) Snowstorm. We got hit yesterday- and my group new of this storm for several days. It’s never EVER a smart thing to go on that hike with an impending blizzard on the horizon. So they didn’t go either.

So here I am, at home…slightly miserable and definitely pouting. I can’t ride my snowmobile. I can drive, but it’s not easy. I feel trapped and closed in. Like a caged animal LOL…I’ll get over it.

I’ve been cooking up a storm. And reading- my books- I think I’ve read 6 of them now. These books are hard copies I owned before I got the Kindle for Christmas. I’m fiddling with that as I type (sort of)…downloaded 4 novels in less than 4 minutes. THAT’s cool.

Since work is a bit boring today, I’ve had a few things to say at ARS.

It’s work tomorrow…yes…Friday I’m working a double shift, and Saturday too…cause I have Sunday off. Why? So I can leave verrrry early Sunday am for some real fun.

It’s time to hike the Presidential Traverse again. In the winter.

3) MY hands do the walking, not yours. You’ll always like what you feel. Me? I have to like what I feel first. Although I do melt from a really good massage.

4) I don’t dress for anything. It’s jeans, tee shirts and sneakers. No matter the occasion.

This article at FOX is the corniest pile of crap I have read in a long time. THANK GAWD I like being single and can do without all this stupid phony drama from men.

Yesterday I spent a good portion of my day doing errands…when I got home in the later afternoon I found an AVON catalog on my door…I don’t usually purchase their products, although I do like one of the deodorants and buy them in bulk…anyway I did go through the brochure to see what the latest wonder products they are trying to sell to women. As always, AVON didn’t let me down.

Even warmer air will move in during the next 2 days…including Primary Day tomorrow. Don’t forget to vote!

Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight along with areas of dense fog and spot drizzle.

On Primary Tuesday, we’ll start with lots of low clouds and even areas of drizzle. The airmass, however, is warm enough that we’ll likely see temperatures climb into the 40s in most of the state by late morning and afternoon, and with any breaks of sunshine during the afternoon we could see temperatures into the low to mid 50s in southern portions of the state (that’s saying something considering the hefty snowpack!)

So what does this mean?

ALL THE FREAKIN SNOW IS MELTING!!!

I went roller blading today…the roads were BAREASS, no snow, no ice. A little wet here and there…We had a heat wave. The January Thaw is upon us and I don’t like it already. Good news though- they’re predicting more snow for the coming weekend.
