Oh, I don’t know about that. I’ve had some good friends over the years that I’ve lost track of when we moved on with our lives. I’ve also had some friends who have gotten into bad situations and weren’t ready to make the changes they needed to; and our friendship suffered for that. But I am still their friend, and will be when they are ready.
On the other hand, I’ve know some two-faced lying bastards who will praise your name to your face one minute, and gossip about you behind your back the next. Screw them.
The tough part is knowing the difference; and that God will take are of it all in the end. Some days, that’s what keeps me from buying a shotgun, and some days I sing my lungs off about it.
My mother shared that quote with me WAY back….and she warned about things. I didn’t believe her when she told me those who appear to be good friends are often your worst enemies…in this situation it’s not about enemies…it’s about just being friends. LOL, I learn though and that’s what counts.
Awe JD…this isn’t about long lost/grown apart friends. I know of that- and have many LL friends who I will stand up for if they ever need me.
And I’ve had those 2 faced shithead friends too- I’m pretty good at spotting them out and ending the relationship though. I’ve been lucky in that area.

Recently a problem with a so-called friend, Raven?
Well, I’ve been there–once in spades. I’ve rarely been hurt so badly by a betrayal. And it occurred over 10 years ago.

Your choice, of course.
