Firms, sculpts and improves curves

Posted by Raven on January 9th, 2008

Yesterday I spent a good portion of my day doing errands…when I got home in the later afternoon I found an AVON catalog on my door…I don’t usually purchase their products, although I do like one of the deodorants and buy them in bulk…anyway I did go through the brochure to see what the latest wonder products they are trying to sell to women. As always, AVON didn’t let me down.

Bust Sculpt Contouring Cream

Huh?

A light cream with Virtual Bra Technology, a blend of ingredients that forms an invisible network for additional support to the bust area. Firms, sculpts and improves curves. 5 fl. oz.
The longer you use it the better the results.
• After one application, skin looks and feels softer, smoother and more supple.
• After one week, skin in the bust area feels tighter.
• After two weeks, breasts feel firmer.
• After four weeks, breasts look firmer
83% of women who tried it saw an overall improvement of the appearance in the bust area.
75% saw and felt their breasts were more toned.
77% felt tighter skin in the breast area
75% saw a visible reduction in stretch marks

And how many unsuspecting, gullible and stupid women actually buy this crap? Probably more than I want to know about. For the price I guess it isn’t too bad of a ripoff…16.00 bucks for a tube. Price isn’t the issue though. Stupidity is. When will women learn that no cream, potion or lotion will improve the physical properties of their bodies? Creams only penetrate the very top layer of the skin and have no ability and therefore no effect upon tone, shape, elasticity or anything else. Lotions and potions do not infuse tissues with collagen and vitamins…and this product certainly does nothing to sculpt and shape a woman’s boobs! Or any other part of their body!!

What is this Virtual Bra Technology? Questions?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. How does Bust-Sculpt work to firm the bust area?
Bust Sculpt contains a unique Virtual Bra Technology to help provide firming and toning benefits to the bust area. It also contains a blend of ingredients which form an invisible network on the skin for additional support to the bust area.

2. Does Bust Sculpt have a fragrance?
Yes, it contains a fresh watery floral fragrance and is suitable for sensitive skin.

3. If I stop using the product will the results disappear?
For continuous results, use Bust-Sculpt as part of your daily regimen.

Uh huh….look at the ingredient list and you’ll see this crappola contains the exact same things as your average hand lotion. A few plant extracts and thatisall. What a gimmick.

But we must remember it is science that proves a point. What clinical and scientific evidence does AVON have to show us this products works, as marketed?

*Results based on women who expressed an opinion.

Yep…the very women who so want to SEE a change…who will look and see changes that aren’t there. Measurable and clinical…

Fercryinoutloud. Are we THAT dumb, women?

    “Are we THAT dumb, women?”

Do you really want me to answer that?

And speaking of boobs.. it appears that our options for a Republican president, atleast according to the “reliable polls”, will probably be between McCain ( ) and Huckabee ( ). Great. Just great.

  4. Duncan Avatar Says:

Sorry Raven. Shouldn’t have included politics here… my bad…

I KNEW you wouldn’t fall victim to this dumbness Kat. Of course!!

So many women do waste their money on it all though…I guess, it’s their money, right?

Hey Duncan where’s your site gone????

Yes we have BOOBS up for grabs (heh) for elections. Sucks eh? I don’t like any of them…I voted for Duncan Hunter but I know his chances are verrrrrrrry SLIM.

Politics are ok here…I may go over to ARS to post stuff, political, in a week or so. Maybe.

I am still holding out for Thompson, but I just don’t think he’s going to get any traction. So I then look at the rest of the field, and I am settling on Romney or Guiliani as the two other realistic options who I believe would be strong on terror and not fold on conservative principles here at home. McCain is just straight out for me. Huckabee will probably be much to divisive in the general election to win, in my opinion. And I am frustrated that apparently Iowa and New Hampshire, 2 states out of the 50, are determining who the nominees are. I know some of that is the media and the pundits declaring victory, but still.

I am working on something for my site, making it into what I want it, but it is taking me some time to get it where I want it. I’ll let ya know when it comes back on a consistent basis. I am just trying to find the drive and motivation to post stuff myself.

Virtual Bra Technology! Well that sounds just spectacular, too bad it’s crap. I do wonder about women who buy such things. If it really worked don’t they think that they might hear about it somewhere other than in the Avon catalog?

As for the boobs running for the Republican nomination, I go to the polls on the 29th and I have no idea who I’m voting for. I like Duncan Hunter but he’s obviously not winning. Then I had my hopes pinned on Thompson and that’s been, well, disappointing. I think at this point I’m just hoping for a miracle.
