LOL!!!!!!!!! Oh darth that made me laugh!! I've heard similar stories from poor men who thought they were swallowing something else...only to see the (ahem) hard way NOT. Hehe.

I do get baffled at why ANY man would purposely take a drug that does this? I understand medical reasons...but even then I have a difficult time understanding how a drug induced erection is actually worth the time and esp the woman's time. If she can't arose him...

I'm not into it really. To be honest. I have a hard time believing I am here to bow down to some being I cannot see, hear, smell, touch or otherwise have some proof that he even exists. I'm not an atheist. I'm a skeptic. I was born a Catholic which is the most hypocritical religion of them all...and not too many are that different, to me. It's all the same in the end. I guess. So yeah, religion is weird to me. I don't get it and I don't see any evidence that being religious is helpful. It's not harmful either. Some people tell me when I die I'll understand. But I want to understand now while I'm alive as that is the only fact I have. Life as I know it.

Ah, but that's the point; religion is about something a little more than plain old survival. With your background I can understand why survival is paramount on your to-do list. However, religion is about becoming part of the greater whole, the greater good.

Not all religions are created equal, either. When I was a teenager I made a great study of the world's religions and found they fallinto two groups; positive and negative. If you eliminate the negative religions (Wicca, Satanism, Voodun, etc.) and compare the postives, you find there are three great offenses, or "sins" one person can commit against another:

*Murder
*Adultery
*Gossip

All three destroy something that can never be replaced; trust, reputation, or human life. Once you establish this, you find that there are two types of positive religions: those that improve the person, and those that honor the creator.

The only two that honor the creator (and improve the person by association) are Judaism and Christianity, which are related in their origins. And while Judaism finds Christianity blasphemous, Christianity honors their Jewish forefathers, as well as their current Jewish cousins.

For me, Christianity was the logical choice.

The PROBLEM with any religion is that flawed human beings (and certainly the people who most NEED religion) are the ones practicing it. Therefore you get a lot of prejudices, misconceptions, and petty fears introduced as part and parcel of dealing with those folks.

I would strongly recommend a non-denominational church like the Evangelical Free Churches or the Churches of Christ. The bigger, the better -- big churches are more tolerant and open.

But that's me. Your mileage may vary.
