Happy Thanksgiving

    You have a great day too Raven- you and your family and friends. Next year C and I will be there. Is the heat working at the lodge? I am assuming you all have the fireplaces lit and ovens as well, and will be (if you haven’t already) cooked those turkeys in them. How many people are there this year?

    Last year was lots of fun. Wish we were there.

    It would be great if everyone could put aside their differences, unpatriotic attitudes and beliefs etc for just one day. How tragic it is for those who view the world through pessimism and darkness. Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude. A time to praise God for what we have, not what we don’t have. The United States is the most incredible nation in the history of mankind. Instead of focusing on what this country does wrong, I think it is about time for some to recognize what we do right. The good far outdistances the bad.

    It is days like this when I long for leaders like Ronald Reagen. No matter how one felt about his politics, Reagen reflected optimism. If there is any complaint against George Bush, it is that he doesn’t communicate that sense of positiveness. However, one can see it in his actions and deeds. (If one cared to look closely enough) I may be in the minority, but I truly admire and respect our president. Again, it is tragic for those who wish to paint a bleak picture of gloom and doom, for those who wish to engage in hatred and deception in times of prosperity. They are missing out on so much joy.
