I need a break
Posted by Raven on July 27th, 2005
I need a break from working. I told the bosses this and they agreed. I went into work at 2am this morning, the schedule showing that I was to work until 10pm tonight. I told them NO. Enough is enough. The dept. head-Director of Nursing- authorized me taking the rest of this week OFF. I don’t have to be back until Saturday am.
Now I sit here trying to figure out what I want to do first. Decisions, decisions. Should I go to the beach? Or down to Boston for some food and shopping? How about driving up north for a hike? It’s hazy, hot and humid and I could just go to the quarry for some swimming. I’ll figure something out, damn straight.

I reccomend Beach, Cocktails and BBQ, in that order.

Nah, skip the beach. Between the sunburn and the sand in the crotch, I’d advise to go straight to #2 and #3 there.
If money is tight, skip #3.

Well I haven’t made it too far yet…kind of crashed on my couch for a few hours. But I’m wide awake now and looking for something to do. After the storm passes through. Boston at night can be fun…

If you’re heading downtown, I’d recommend Paddy Burke’s or McGann’s between North Station and Haymarket.
Probably a bit late to organize a blogger get-together. Oh well.

LOL Bruce…can you see it now, bloggers go bar hopping?? We could do that. I want us all to get together in October dammit. it’s not too late to start organizing that.

Come to Nebraska - it’s beautiful this time of year! Um, okay, there’s lots of cornfields? Okay, so maybe you should hit the beach?

I’ll come visit YOU and Eric in Nebraska anytime. I won’t be able to stay forever…I do need a ocean and a beach. LOL Cornfields? We have lots of those around here. He he, the things we used to do in them.

I’ll miss you too MH. And everyone else at the WA. Gotta chose my priorities.
Gotta get involved in things that are really important to me. Choices. Decisions. It’s tough.

Quarry swimming!!!!! Oh the memories of jumping from the 85′ mark at Milton Quarry in Vermont, or floating down the Huntington River below the Gorge in Richmond (where another idiot just drowned).
I second the notion of a blogger bar crawl in October. And McGann’s is a great place to start.
