Onward to Old Orchard

Sit in reverie and watch the changing color of the waves that break upon the idle seashore of the mind.
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I’ve been back and forth between NH and Maine this week- 6 times (and a TON of cash wasted on gas!)– moving from Wells to Old Orchard. And getting settled in for the next four weeks. After work Sunday, I’m heading back up with no plan to return to NH anytime soon.

There’s an amusement park here, with lots of fun rides and cotton candy.

My new home away from home- a fifth floor mini apartment-over looking the pier- this is where I’ll be living for the next four weeks:

Ahhhh..the bed….with that awesome window over it, that allows in the scents and sounds of the ocean:

It’s not as quiet up here as it is in Wells. Many more people, rich people too. It’s a good thing I know where to hide out on the beach too or I’d go NUTS being around all these snotheads.

  1. LomaAlta Said,

Our son worked one summer, just after high school, at the “Barefoot Boy” in Old Orchard Beach. How is that for a coincidence?

    Good luck.

That’s really a delightful nest you’ve found for yourself there, especially the bedroom and that tub. You deserve an uninterrupted vacation time to yourself. Enjoy!

  3. Raven Said,

Oh it’s sweet here. Even with the SNOTS who I just ignore. LOL

It’s peaceful and relaxing where I hang out- those parts of the beach where no one likes to go…lots of rocks and small strips of sand. Perfect for me. Hehe.
