Rocky Mountain Reunion

Posted by Raven on May 22nd, 2008

I’ve been busy traveling the country again…this time was planned ahead and it’s for a family reunion. My nephew lives in Lakewood CO and he is hosting the gathering this year.

I haven’t attended one of these in over, hmm, a decade now. The fun doesn’t actually start until Saturday; I came out a few days ahead of the GANG so I could spend some quiet time with my nephew and his delightful family. His wife is a teacher for a private school out here, and he is a lawyer for a big firm…they have two young daughters aged 6 and 3 1/2…just a wonderful family. I am the GAWD Mommy to this kid (my 30 yr old nephew) and he’s made a great life for himself.

Kender and I joke, often, about how this silly looking airport out here reminds us of Madonna Boobs.
Or a tent city of some sort. BWAHAH

Ahhh…a name I recognized from all the snail mails sent to this town over the past couple yrs.

Just a beautiful place. Is all I can say.

And the best part? THIS. IS. MY. ROOM. They have hawt tubs.

I’ve already been in IT three nights in a row. It’s heaven. And then some.

I’ll be offline for the next several days as this family affair begins in earnest. We have food. TONS of it. Rented massive grilles. 25 picnic tables, too…Beer. A couple huge tents in case the weather shits out on us. (And it was a bit weird earlier today)…I’m returning to NH Wednesday.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Raven, darling, have LOADS of fun! I’m going to Orlando for Daddy’s 90th birthday (Munchkin is coming along - she turns ***12*** on Monday!!! AIIIGH!) but will keep you in mind.

I pray that you have a great time - and make sure you spend an extra 30 minutes in that hot tub for *ME*, OK?

    ;-)

    Love you, dear sister!

I’m glad you finally decided to go. Even if you didn’t like it, later in life you’ll be glad!

Hey, you moved out of Rightly So??

Anyhow, sounds like a great place for a getaway. Hard to beat Colorado.

When you get back in your groove in NH, take a gander at the FALCON website. We are off and running.

    Cheers,
