Welcome to my Work World
Posted by Raven on April 18th, 2008
This is where yours truly spends many of her recent days: WORK. Works makes the world go round and round and…okay that’s bullshit but I had to try to pretend this isn’t too bad.
My legs get tired of running down to rooms cause some alarm is going off- when all it amounted too was incorrectly placed leads! (Stupid idiOts I work with…- some of them)
Ahh. Music to my ears- the sounds of bleeps, beeps, buzzes and other alarms. Give me a pump and I can work wonders. Guaranteed.
Teh famed nurse station. Where I talk on the phone (to some of you!) and chart and yell at co workers and otherwise goof off..oh and yes the computer…when I can I go online.
So who wants to come to work with me and hold me up? I’ll take a double double coffee and a jelly donut, and please bring me a cigar I can smoke in a couple hours on my break- when it gets dark out and cools off a little (it was 80 degrees today!!).

So where are the pictures of the nurses?

Like your motto proudly states…Happy Patriots Day Raven and God bless our 77 Minuteman under Pastor Jonas Clark and Captain Parker that took on the Red Coats at the Battles of Lexington & Concord 232 years ago… FREEDOM ISN’T FREE! When we flew on missions we used to say, “Work hard, play hard and whatever goes on a mission stays on a mission…”

darth, freedom is not free and we have to work for what we have, what we want, what we need….am doing just that these days…this week I clocked in over 100 hours…next week looks to be the same.
YAY I have some coffee though to keep me awake and moving.

Yeah, it was pretty cool in San Antone today — only hit 88 degrees with 70% humidity. But it *IS* Fiesta, so the thought of a million partying people alone will raise the temp a few degrees.
You can tell it’s spring in South Texas when the rattlesnakes come out. Saw my first one walking the puppy last night. Beats the hell out of that first Robin of spring, let me tell ya.

It cooled off up here too…today it was a mere 78 and balmy and breezy. Yesterday was hotter and more humid but not like the HHH days…
And believe or not I still have pockets of umelted snow in my back yard. **sigh** I want to work on my garden but until the snows’ all gone I won’t/ And it’s still April. We could still get swamped with a blizzard like we did 7 yrs ago- 3 feet of snow on April 21st.
Buds are out and lilac bushes are getting ready to bloom. Dandelions are coming up and little flowers poking through the mud. Spring has arrived.
